Here’s Why a Kona Brewery Tour Will Always Be Worth Your Time

It doesn’t matter whether you like beer or not – a Kona brewery tour is always worth the time. A lot of Kona brewing companies are relatively small, but independent. Some of their beers include well-known brands such as Pipeline Porter, Longboard Island Lager, Big Wave Golden Ale, and Fire Rock Pale Ale.

A lot of these companies started brewing and packaging beers decades ago. Ever since, beer production here has spiked every year and today, Kona is rated as one of the most successful and well-known locations where breweries thrive in the U.S.

More so, the breweries here sell tens of thousands beer barrels every year. Interestingly, despite the breweries’ amazing success over the years, the companies have retained their traditional craftsmanship and creativity, always introducing new and exciting recipes. If you’d like to taste any of these, you may have to visit some of our classic brew pubs in Kailua-Kona!

Brewery tours in Kona

What to expect during a Kona Brewery Tour

Our famous Kona Brewery tour is highly organized and it lasts for half a day. We split our tour between tastings and cultural landmark visits. While the tour is on, our tour guides will tell you a lot about the breweries in Kona as well as their brewing process.

As a result of our brewery tour’s vast popularity, its highly recommended that you book your visit in advance. We offer free front door pick-ups at all major West Hawaiʻi hotels and resorts. We also offer the option to meet at a central meeting point to accommodate a busy vacation schedule, if you prefer.

Are Kona Brewery Tours free?

The Kona brewery tour costs $159 and as mentioned earlier, the tour typically lasts for half a day. The tour includes a visit to the Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park, a stop at Mountain Thunder Coffee, a walk through Kona Cloud Forest and finally, a taste of Ola Brew Co.

Even more, you’ll get the chance to learn about our breweries’ sustainability practices as well as the sources of their ingredients, learn about the brewing process and how beers in Hawaiʻi are made.

Collective creativity in every glass

One of the most remarkable things about our beer is the amount of creativity that goes into every glass. Join us on a fun Hawaiʻi brewery tour, travel by luxurious Mercedes Benz Sprinter Mini-Coaches and enjoy a half day Kona tour that will have you back lounging at the pool with plenty of daylight left.
